Women's Ministry
The Summerville Community SDA Church's Department of Women’s Ministries exists to uphold, encourage, and challenge S women in their daily walk as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our mission is accomplished through effectual prayers as we seek God to build His kingdom through significant ministries and effective D.R.E.A.M.S.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem. Monday evenings at 7 pm.
Young Adults
Young people play an important role in the church. In the Adventist Church, youth are encouraged to become involved! Youth helped start the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the we believe in continuing the tradition of youth involvement.
Pathfinders
For those who are familiar with it, “Pathfindering” conjures up images of marching, camping, curious hobbies, bugs and bats. Enlarging their windows on the world and building a relationship with God are the dual objectives of this club, which is designed for children ages 10-15. With nearly 2 million members around the world, this Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored club accepts any youth who promises to abide by the Pathfinder Pledge and Law regardless of their church affiliation.
Adventurers
More than one million kids around the world have discovered one of the most fun clubs ever created for them. The Adventurer Club is designed to strengthen parent-child relationships for kids ages 4-9 by providing specialized weekly activities tuned into the psychological needs of this age group while simultaneously giving parents opportunities for learning parenting skills and enjoying special activities with their children
Health and Temperance
Close to 86 million American adults have prediabetes; 90% of them don’t know it. Diabetes is a rampant ugly disease that is stealing the health and life of millions.
Community Services
Adventist Community Services is the humanitarian agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that works within the United States and Bermuda. Adventist Community Services meets people’s immediate needs through social services including food, clothing and shelter during Natural Disasters
Prison Ministries
Prisons around the country are filled to capacity with inmates, but is God’s message of forgiveness and hope also entering these prisons? The Summerville Community SDA Church’s Prison Ministries department strives to meet each inmate where they are and bring them the message of God’s forgiveness, righteousness, and plan for a better life.
Prayer Ministry
"Why should the sons and daughters of God be reluctant to pray, when prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven's storehouse, where are treasured the boundless resources of omnipotence." 'Steps to Christ' page 94, 95. Summerville Community SDA church is a praying church. We are always seeking guidance and help from our Lord and Savior. We include Prayer Warriors and a Prayer Chain to assist others in our church and community and we encourage all to join us in this endeavor.
